Recharge Your Body & Mind With Contrast Therapy

Discover the revitalizing effects of contrast therapy at Studio22. Using our Symmetry Sauna and BlueCube Cold Plunge, you’ll alternate between a hot and cold sensory experience. Pairing a sauna with an ice bath is a powerful method to enhance circulation, decrease inflammation, accelerate muscle recovery, and boost your mood. The sauna’s heat causes blood vessels to expand, promoting better blood flow and reducing inflammation. Contrarily, the cold from the ice bath causes blood vessels to tighten, enhancing circulation and alleviating muscle soreness. This alternating hot and cold therapy supports faster recovery and helps lower the risk of injury.

The alternating effects of heat and cold have a positive impact on mood regulation by stimulating the release of endorphins, dopamine, and norepinephrine—the “feel-good” hormones. This boost occurs throughout your thermal journey and can last for several hours afterward. This surge in hormones is particularly effective in alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression. While the experience may feel intense, many enthusiasts report feeling refreshed and energized afterward, which motivates them to return to the practice.
